I am pretty sure that this is not a new listing because I have seen a sign with its address at the corner of Woodside and Valota  for months.   Anyway, this is another example of an overpriced tiny house that has less living space than the condo I live in.  It’s still very expensive for the quality of the neighborhood.

My ex-coworker showed me this breaking news report. According to this additional Chronicle article, multiple weapons were found at the scene of the house and three men were dead. One of the men apparently lived in the house and two others were found in the garage which was converted in a living space. Supposedly it was a home invasion/robbery gone wrong. I’m not sure if the guy that lived there was the owner, but either way, this is very disturbing news. This is located in the area between Foster City and Hillsdale Mall.  It’s a pretty family friendly neighborhood and I know several families that live there.  It’s definitely not the most expensive or “posh” part of San Mateo, but it’s decent.  In real terms this house has rolled back to 2001 because $525k in 2001 is worth $639k today according to the government’s CPI calculator.
