Bay Area home sales up 45% compared to last year. San Mateo still down

The new Dataquick news report states that the home sales volume is up 45% in the nine county Bay Area as compared to last year.  However, San Mateo is still down 4.9%.  The median price is now $400,000 in the Bay Area!  San Mateo’s median is still stubbornly at $603k, but since volume is still going down the prices will fall further.
