New San Mateo Real Estate Association Statistics for July

The San Mateo Real Estate Association is always quite prompt in publishing their statistics.

For July 2008 the single family home sales statistics are here, and the condominium/shared interest sales statistics are here.

From these statistics it looks like things are looking up.  The number of single family homes sold was 428, and condominiums sold was 97.  This is much better than June where only 376 single family homes sold and 75 condominiums sold.  As to inventory, the number of single family homes decreased by 69 to 1883, and the number of condominiums increased by 14 and now stands at 545.  So basically new listings are still coming in at a quick clip.  Will this increased sales activity continue through the summer?  I’m sure all realtors hope so!  I wouldn’t call this a bottom just yet.
