199 SELBY LN Atherton, CA 94027 Relisted Today!
It appears that this Atherton foreclosure just got a new MLS listing today and the old listing information has been wiped. It is another $30,000 cheaper, and there are open house dates for 4/26 and 4/27. This is probably the cheapest property in Atherton, and it’s really just a few blocks from where I live. Unfortunately I will be out of town next weekend so I won’t be walking over to check it out. I can’t afford it anyway.

Alright, I finally got the list compiled and updated. A few of the listings have already been taken off market. I’m not sure if they are sold or foreclosed, though. This time the top loser by percentage is in Menlo Park. The most depressed ares are still East Palo Alto and Daly City. However, the Dumbarton area (Zip Code 94063) of Redwood City is also getting hit pretty hard.

Comments: This house is in my neighborhood and it is not a bad house. The realtor seems to have English and vowel issues since he/she wrote: “Sellers needs to SALE. . Brng thm an offer”. This is another case of stubborn sellers. If they really needed to sell, why did they list it for 120k over what they paid for a few months ago? Now it’s been on the market for over four months and I bet people are just sitting on the sidelines waiting for it fall some more.

Comments: These obstinate sellers finally fell into trouble territory this month. If they had priced their house at 700k a couple years ago it might have sold quickly, but it’s now 2008, and the Dumbarton neighborhood is being devalued every single day. Comments: This one is an oldie but a goodie. I first saw it about a year ago and I thought, woah! $120k reduction! Now a year later it still hasn’t sold and it just endured another six price cuts. I guess noone wants a foreclosure. Perhaps after being featured on this blog it will sell?

Comments: This is a Countrywide foreclosure. It is in the Emerald Hills area of Redwood City, which is quite nice. The pictures on the listing aren’t very flattering, though. Whoever buys this should get it reassessed and get a huge tax deduction.
